Stephanie Lydecker is the founder and CEO of KT STUDIOS – a full-service production company that specializes in creating and producing ambitious and diverse unscripted and scripted television, podcasts, and documentary films. Under Lydecker’s leadership, the team has built the company into a true-crime powerhouse with titles such as Murdered and Missing in Montana (Peacock, Oxygen), Injustice with Nancy Grace (Oxygen), The Piketon Family Murders (Oxygen), and The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre (Peacock, Oxygen) which achieved record-breaking viewership ratings with both the podcast series and documentary release.
The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre is NOW STREAMING on Peacock. The three-part docuseries digs deep to uncover answers to the questions surrounding how and why several members of the Rhoden and Gilley family were viciously slain in a case that had the entire state of Ohio horrified and on edge.
KT Studios is also a leading player in the podcast space with a 160-plus-hour slate deal with iHeartPodcasts that includes The Piketon Massacre, a groundbreaking title that has amassed over 50 million downloads and has become the #1 podcast in the country. Lydecker is a native New Yorker who graduated top of her class from the University of Connecticut and is a proud Hall of Fame honoree from Sachem High School in Long Island. As a self-proclaimed TV and content fanatic, Lydecker has lived many lives in the industry. She began her career at The Sally Jessy Raphael Show before moving to Miami to work at WAMI, Barry Diller's flagship local news station. She then moved to Los Angeles to produce series such as American Idol (FOX), The Bachelor (ABC), Nashville Star (NBC), The Bachelorette (ABC), and Temptation Island (FOX). From there, she went on to become the Head of Development at 495 Productions, developing hits such as Jersey Shore (MTV), The Real (Tele-pictures daytime syndication), Design Star (HGTV), J-Wow & Snookie (MTV), Party Down South (CMT), Disaster Date (MTV), More to Love (FOX), Love Handles (LIFETIME), and The Antonio Project (HGTV), amongst many others. Following, Lydecker became the Head of Development at Asylum Entertainment, where she developed, created, and executive produced over 15 shows, including Nate & Jeremiah by Design (TLC), Co-Dependent (A&E), Big Fish Texas (Nat Geo), and 50 States (History), just to name a few. In 2019, Lydecker, along with Dwayne “The Rock'' Johnson and Leepson Bounds Entertainment, developed and executive produced Finding Justice (BET), which was nominated for Best Episodic Documentary Series at the International Documentary Association Awards, and developed the series Bride to Homicide (Oxygen). Additionally, Lydecker hosted Home Delivery (NBC), Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition (ABC), Makeover Mama’s (A&E), Decorating Cents (HGTV), Home Made Easy (DIY), and co-hosted The Bachelor Wedding: Trista and Ryan (ABC).
