Stephanie Lydecker

Founder & CEO

Stephanie Lydecker is the founder and CEO of KT STUDIOS – a full-service production company that specializes in creating and producing ambitious and diverse unscripted and scripted television, podcasts, and documentary films. Under Lydecker’s leadership, the team has built the company into a true-crime powerhouse with titles such as Murdered and Missing in Montana (Peacock, Oxygen), Injustice with Nancy Grace (Oxygen), The Piketon Family Murders (Oxygen), and The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre (Peacock, Oxygen) which achieved record-breaking viewership ratings with both the podcast series and documentary release.

The Pike County Murders: A Family Massacre is NOW STREAMING on Peacock. The three-part docuseries digs deep to uncover answers to the questions surrounding how and why several members of the Rhoden and Gilley family were viciously slain in a case that had the entire state of Ohio horrified and on edge. 

KT Studios is also a leading player in the podcast space with a 160-plus-hour slate deal with iHeartPodcasts that includes The Piketon Massacre, a groundbreaking title that has amassed over 50 million downloads and has become the #1 podcast in the country. Other recent releases also include The Idaho Massacre, which has several million downloads within the first month, topping charts in both True Crime and All Categories, as well as Death Island, which soared to the top of the charts and has reached over 180 countries worldwide, and the upcoming newly released podcast, True Crimes with John & Deanna (from Netflix's Don't F**k With Cats). The company also produced Crazy in Love, The Dougherty Gang, and The Official Masked Singer Podcast, a companion to the hit competition format on FOX. 

Lydecker is a native New Yorker who graduated top of her class from the University of Connecticut and is a proud Hall of Fame honoree from Sachem High School in Long Island. As a self-proclaimed TV and content fanatic, Lydecker has lived many lives in the industry. She began her career at The Sally Jessy Raphael Show before moving to Miami to work at WAMI, Barry Diller's flagship local news station. She then moved to Los Angeles to produce series such as American Idol (FOX), The Bachelor (ABC), Nashville Star (NBC), The Bachelorette (ABC), and Temptation Island (FOX). From there, she went on to become the Head of Development at 495 Productions, developing hits such as Jersey Shore (MTV), The Real (Tele-pictures daytime syndication), Design Star (HGTV), J-Wow & Snookie (MTV), Party Down South (CMT), Disaster Date (MTV), More to Love (FOX), Love Handles (LIFETIME), and The Antonio Project (HGTV), amongst many others. Following, Lydecker became the Head of Development at Asylum Entertainment, where she developed, created, and executive produced over 15 shows, including Nate & Jeremiah by Design (TLC), Co-Dependent (A&E), Big Fish Texas (Nat Geo), and 50 States (History), just to name a few. In 2019, Lydecker, along with Dwayne “The Rock'' Johnson and Leepson Bounds Entertainment, developed and executive produced Finding Justice (BET), which was nominated for Best Episodic Documentary Series at the International Documentary Association Awards, and developed the series Bride to Homicide (Oxygen). Additionally, Lydecker hosted Home Delivery (NBC), Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition (ABC), Makeover Mama’s (A&E), Decorating Cents (HGTV), Home Made Easy (DIY), and co-hosted The Bachelor Wedding: Trista and Ryan (ABC).

During her time at KT Studios, Courtney has overseen the development and production of the company's slate. Armstrong's impressive track record includes working with high-profile talent, and she is responsible for creating presentations, delivering 100+ page format breakdowns, and maintaining pre-through post-production schedules.

Jeff Shane

Producer

Jeff Shane started at KT Studios as the Senior Director of Development but was recently promoted to the position of Vice President, where he continues to play an integral role in the company's development, strategy, and creative direction.

Throughout his career, he’s also worked/developed on a variety of different projects, including Keeping Up With the Kardashians (E!), The Real World (MTV), Botched (E!), Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo), Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Bravo), Vanderpump Rules (Bravo), Siesta Key (MTV), Private Lives of Nashville Wives (TNT), The Maury Povich Show (syndicated), and The Bad Girls Club (Oxygen).

Gabe Castillo

Development Coordinator

Gabriel Castillo was born and raised in Arizona and graduated from Northern Arizona University where he studied Creative Media & Film. He moved to Los Angeles shortly after graduation where he plans to put forth his skillset in creative development and production coordinating to pursue a career in the industry.

Andrew Aronow

Producer

Andrew Aronow graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit and began his professional career as a Legislative Correspondent for U.S. Congressman John Dingell. After two years, Andrew left Capitol Hill and moved to New York where he began his career in branded entertainment before leaving to work on independent films both scripted and documentary. Andrew has since moved to Los Angeles and continues to develop and work on several projects across various types of digital media.

Conor Powell

Producer

Conor Powell is a successful, award-winning podcast host, multimedia producer, and veteran TV journalist with more than a decade of experience covering major news stories and creating gripping and powerful content from around the world.

After more than 15 years in television news covering the wars and conflicts of the Middle East, Conor began creating podcasts in 2018. He has worked on all aspects of podcast production. His latest project, Death Island, for KT Studios and iHeart Radio. He also hosted and wrote The Lords of Soccer: How FIFA Stole the Beautiful Game for iHeart Radio. The twelve-part true crime series tells the history of the decades-long corruption that has plagued soccer’s governing body, FIFA. Conor continues to work as a freelance producer and reporter for CNN and his written work has appeared in The Daily Beast, Podcast Business Journal, Front Page Live, Richmond Times Dispatch, The Hill Newspaper and The National Review.

Alan Wieder

Producer

Alan Wieder is a producer, writer, and visual artist in Los Angeles. As a producer, he was the creative force behind some of reality tv's biggest hits, including Joe Millionaire, My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé, The Apprentice, and Chrisley Knows Best. He's written feature films for Universal, Summit, and Warner Brothers and published two books.

He recently created and produced a hit Wondery true crime podcast, The Donut Shop Murders, a disturbing account of a serial-killing family who murdered up to 20 women in the early 70s. He has unscripted projects set up at various production companies and networks.

Cris Graves

Producer

Cris Graves is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker who has worked across platforms from film to television to online content. Her work has spanned the globe as a producer/director, filming in some of the harshest and most remote areas on our planet. Her credits include The Amazing Race, Whale Wars, and Living Undocumented

Recently, she has worked in the true crime space on both television and podcast platforms. Cris is also an award-winning narrative filmmaker, and her projects have been screened in various film festivals including the Cannes Film Festival, Oaxaca Film Festival, and Hamilton Film Festival to name a few. Her feature film script Alone Girl was a semi-finalist in three categories of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition 2019 as well as earning a spot on The Bitch List 2020 and was in the top 10% of the 2020 Nicholl Fellowship. Also in 2020, Cris was chosen as one of 25 screenwriters to watch by the Austin Film Festival.

James Pilcher

James Pilcher is a reporter for Local 12 WKRC (CBS) in Cincinnati. He made the transition from print to TV in March of 2020 after a long and distinguished career in newspapers and for wire services. Most recently, James was the investigative reporter for The Cincinnati Enquirer, where he uncovered sex trafficking rings in southern Ohio as well as corruption at the local airport that led to changes in Kentucky state law. Some of his work has sparked statewide audits in Ohio and Kentucky and even queries from the U.S. Senate.

He specializes in accountability reporting and in diving into databases to find the real story behind the numbers. James’ work has been recognized in local, state and national journalism contests, and his work on police accountability took home the top investigative prize in the 2017 Ohio APME contest. James’ coverage of Pete Rose also won a national AP Sports Editors contest in 2016.

Joseph Scott Morgan

Joseph Scott Morgan is the Distinguished Scholar of Applied Forensics at Jacksonville State University, where he holds the faculty rank of Associate Professor of Forensic Investigations. Morgan is a leading expert on the U.S. coroner system, as well as medicolegal education. 

Joseph is the host of the wildly popular podcast Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan, one of the first podcasts hosted by a forensic scientist. Morgan has been appearing on KT Studios' podcasts The Piketon Massacre, Crazy in Love, Death Island, and The Dougherty Gang. Joseph is a regular contributor to Fox News, CNN, NBC News, Court TV, The Law and Crime Network, and News Nation. In 2013, Joseph Scott Morgan was named "Georgia Author of the Year" for his memoir Blood Beneath My Feet: The Journey of a Southern Death Investigator.
